compensation: $15/hour

Do you have a love for animals, enjoy being outdoors, and want to make some extra money? If so, then you're exactly the person PJ's Pups is looking for!

We are currently looking for a part-time dog walker to add to our team. The position involves traveling to clients' homes to walk their dogs. Walks vary in length from 15-60 minutes. Most walks are typically scheduled Monday-Friday between 10 AM and 4 PM, although clients do occasionally request weekend/evening walks. Preference will be given to applicants who:

• Live in Portland year-round
• Have a valid driver's license
• Have their own insured vehicle
• Own a cell phone
• Have internet access
• Preferably have past dog walking employment or volunteer work

Additionally, because our employees have access to clients' homes, we do require our walkers to pass a background check.

About our company

PJ's Pups is a locally owned and operated dog walking and pet care company.  We've been in business since 2012 serving clients and their furry friends all over the Portland metro area.  Our goal is to provide personalized, individual service to pets and their owners.  We do not walk dogs in multiples or packs (unless requested by the owner), and try to pair dogs with a regular, consistent walker. 

Our operation is smaller in scale, but this enables us to provide a higher level of service to our clients.  More importantly for potential new employees, we also maintain a close personal relationship with our walkers.  You will never receive an automated reply or be put on hold if you need advice or assistance in dealing with a work-related issue.  We recognize that our employees are the foundation of a successful business, and we do our best to treat members of the PJ’s Pups family accordingly.
